Toxic work culture full of lies and scammers that will look for any reason not to pay you.

    Negative Outlook

the closest pro is working on some cool clients but those engagements are overshadowed by cons.

    - I wanted to stick around because the job on paper is nice but there's just so much "under the table" stuff happening at Photon that it's hard to focus and trust there will be a tomorrow with the company. - My pay was threatened multiple times over timesheets that were turned in but lost by the offshore team. When I quit, they threatened to not pay me unless I signed "exit interview" forms which were just forms that said I couldn't speak anything bad about Photon upon my exit - that includes Glassdoor reviews. It is illegal in my state to force employees to sign anything upon quitting but that didnt stop the COO from holding out on my final check three days after it was due. - Don't trust the bonus system - they will hire you on and promise two bonuses. Good luck getting them because they were pushed back two months while firing people in between so they could actually afford to pay out. They fired an employee (a week before bonus payout) who had deadlines left and upon realizing he had deadlines they tried rehiring him but made it clear he would not receive the bonus he worked for. - The leaders are shady. You have VPs who will walk around, curse you out, belittle you, and not even have the story correct. Everyone just reacts without thinking and its toxic. They think they don't have to follow State Laws when it comes to employment and the way you treat your employees (paying them on time, verbal abuse, toxic work environment). Very surprised no one has filed a lawsuit but I'm sure it is coming any second now. - Photon blatantly writes five star reviews on Glassdoor every time an honest critique that is negative goes up, lots of red flags I could go on. There is zero transparency and Photon has created (and reinforcing) a culture of blind leading the blind and it's very frustrating as someone who just wants to design.
