I worked at Pizza Hut full-time (more than a year)Pros
The crew was pretty laid back. I was an older employee who came on after losing a better paying job. But I voluntarily stayed on for 2-1/2 years before getting back into the career path I'd originally pursued. Even though I worked hard at Pizza Hut, I enjoyed my coworkers and the fact that I could just go in and do my job then go home without the stresses invading my personal life outside of work. Plus, it was always entertaining working with the high schoolers and college kids! And it wasn't uncommon to find people there who'd worked close to (or over) ten years for the company.
Bonus: Our store was closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas; it also closed early for Christmas Eve. The managers were usually pretty accommodating with other holiday schedules, especially for those of us who had kids.Cons
You've got to be ready for the downside of customer service or you'll get burnt out fast. For every nice guy on the phone, there are two rude ones followed by a repeat scammer (chronic complainer for the sake of free food) to round out your night. And you've got to be ready to work when all your friends are out partying on Friday and Saturday nights or watching Sunday football...because that's when the store makes money and you make your bankroll.Advice to ManagementAdvice
It's been a while since I worked there and the management has changed considerably, so I can't really offer anything helpful to the current setup.RecommendsPositive OutlookNo opinion of CEO
