I have been working at Pizza Hut part-time (Less than a year)
Amazing low-level management, I probably ate more than my work was worth every shift I was on. All of my requests for time off were always accepted, even on short notice. I also got basically as many hours (30+ per week at points) as I wanted.
The pay was terrible, especially for how hard that we worked. Further, there were many nights that taking a break wasn't feasible unless you were okay with getting backed up and not leaving until 2:00 am. Unfortunately we were limited to the number of employees that could work per hour by our number of tickets per hour. While this might work well at some locations, ours was a dine-in directly across the street from a large amusement park. As such, we would get many large parties (often in the double digits) that counted the same as a single carryout ticket for one pizza and a bottle of pepsi. This lead to many understaffed nights where our manager was penalized for going over on labor when it wasn't our fault, and slow service because we couldn't have more people working.
Advice to Management
Give us some decent pay, and allow more people to work per shift. Further, reconsider how labor is managed at dine-in locations, especially dependent on location.
