I worked at Plateau Systems full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great when it was a private company. The CEO took great pride in being involved and interacting with his employees. As a company, Plateau was very mindful of latest trends and technologies and worked to incorporate quickly. Management on a whole is easy going and compassionate to employee needs.

    Cons

Being acquired by Success Factors and then by SAP forced 'restructuring' which is understandable as a business but not pleasant for people. At the time of my employment, it was obvious that different departments treated their employees differently. Product Management enjoyed a lot of freedoms but were overseered by a domineering and at times scary manager. R&D employees were worked hard and at many times asked to work weekends in order to meet deadlines.

Many of the engineers were green (new or otherwise untested). Because of that they either were not able to accomplish product management designs or took a long time doing so.
