I worked at Porter & Chester Institute full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working at Porter & Chester Institute was very fulfilling on many levels. You got to help students find a potential career in a trade of their choice. Unlike a traditional education that takes 2-4 or more years to complete you can complete your education in as little as 9 months here. Great feeling to help students find their passions. Plenty of overtime available when needed to complete your sales goals and you are well compensated for your efforts.

    Cons

Long work hours and an extremely unbalanced work/life schedule. Although the pay is great it does not make up for the fact that you have no life outside of work. The pressure put on you to complete your sales goals is no heavier than any other position but they want you to become a sheep and follow their way much more so than any other sales position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't force upon your sales team a method that works for some and not for others. Everyone has their own way of selling and reaching their goals and forcing them to do things your way and not giving them a chance to complete their goals the way they would like does not spell success.
