I have been working at Pottery Barn part-time (more than a year)Pros
Good mix of personalities
Customers love the product and being in the store
Many regular customers, so a good and comfortable place for themCons
Completely absent store manager. In the store maybe one time each week, and then only "on a conference call" not on the floor with the associates or the customers or the other managers.
Other managers are just cashiers.
No leadership at any level.
Zero training for associates, even when asked for.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Wake up and stop lying to yourselves. This store, like most retail, is run on the backs of the hourly people. Those employees should have your attention. If you want the reputation of PB to be maintained, standards need to be in place. Insist that management is all "on the same page", because they are not.RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEO
