    Pros

    Benefits and nice work facility

    Cons

Well, you might want to take a seat because this is going to be a long one! Let's see, when I was first contacted about this position, the Recruiter I spoke to was great. He told me all about the company, the customer, and the work I would be doing. He followed up with a nice e-mail and the job description was attached. Interview setup was quick and painless, got a contingent offer shortly after interview. Then things got strange... Some lady that sounded like she at least smoked a pack a day kept calling to alter my resume! They should have had the Recruiter doing this because he was less chatty. After a long period of time I was finally on-site. Well, what was expected of me was NOTHING like what was described in the description and the team was all over the place! There was no structure and no process, pretty much the PM was there as a relationship builder and not a PM. We had zero guidance and that seriously frustrated the customer! The customer was actually doing work we should have been doing, but everyone was so all over the place that morale was no where to be found and motivation to get the job done was non-existent. People there are underpaid and overworked, you can tell that they underbid the contract. I left shortly after another person was brought on to try and Lead, best of luck to him! Not once did I meet the CEO and in other companies I worked for the CEO was a visible person who reached out to the people in the field to connect a face with a name instead of just a profit number! Communication with upper-management was impossible. They make you think that they take care of the employees and do things from time to time, but believe me it is not a regular occurrence! I think they they will lose the work very soon.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that the PMs you hire actually know how to run a Project and actually know what the customer wants! Upper Management needs to be more involved with the people in the field and communication needs improvement, this may help employee morale and the feeling of only being looked at as profit for the company. Stop underbidding contracts so you can pay people what they should be paid!
