    Unsupportive of Management

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Presbyterian Homes and Services

    Pros

Coworkers are great, and the field itself. It started out great, they are all about promoting from within. Flexible with schedules for management as well. Pay is great for management level staff.

    Cons

This company is so afraid of lawsuits that they support the floor staff over the management 100% of the time. This is a diverse company, and all someone of non-white ethnicity has to do is call corporate anonymously and say "my boss is racist" and that's it. It is challenging to hold staff accountable to standards of practice and even good care when HR makes it nearly impossible to discipline someone. Pay is poor for nurses, making turn over high and uncontrolled.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen when your managers ask for help. Listen when they tell you why your facilities can't keep staff. And do something about it or it will not get better.
