The people that work at Provena not including management or administration. The profession i chose but could do the same elsewhere.

Negative, hostile environment created from administration, down the chain of command to management and employees. Unfair compensation. Only caring about the bottom line not about the work that is done of the lives it impacts. They would rather look good then provide an excellent service. Administration would rather cut back on employees than give up a small percentage of thier salary.

    Advice to Management

Start with a benefit package that actually helps the employees instead of just having a program. Learn that the health care industry is not about dollars and more about taking care of the patients instead of taking the patients money. Interesting that when you say your loosing money you are the first to say no to a salary cut when you make well over double hourly employee. Try to work with the physicians instead of threatening them and chasing away their business. Working toward common goals along with your employees allows you to make strides toward your goals, instead of trying to swim upstream against them.
