I worked at Provo School District full-time (more than an year)

The best part of teaching is always and forever will be the kids. I loved working with them. I loved seeing them grow and helping them become better.

Work life balance isn't really existent in the first few years of the job. I felt ignored often, because interns needed so much more help. Feedback was either you are doing everything great or you are doing everything wrong. It appeared to be based more on how management liked you than on actual performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget that new teachers only have about 6 more weeks of experience than interns. Real, consistent, and constructive feedback will help teachers improve while just telling them they are doing great will promote stagnancy. On the other hand, telling teachers they are doing everything poorly will just dishearten them.
