I worked at Public Strategies (Texas) as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Get in at the ground floor of an established company, working on significant client teams with a chance to contribute on other teams where your interest lies/as time permits, gets you into the H+K network which could provide good job opportunities down the line, exit interview process is beneficial for hearing manager's perspective on strength & weaknesses (something I've not seen at other places I've worked/interned)

    Cons

Interns not given enough of a picture of the overall big picture of what they're contributing to, dealt a lot more with reputation management and PR maintenance/monitoring than work that actually felt like it would make an impact - hopefully that's changing now with the recent merger with H+K

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To show interns you're really committed to their growth and development, let them in on the big picture of what they're contributing to so they feel they're making more of an impact
