I worked at Pubmatic full-time (more than an year)

Opportunity to work in the programmatic space and get to interact with interesting companies in adtech. The pace of work is quite fast. Some nice folks to work with.

The CEO is weak on leadership skills and lacks a strategic vision for the company (look at Appnexus and Rubicon CEOs who are visionary leaders ). President is not a good fit for this company in my view/ highly political and created a bad, negative culture across the company.

The tech team is really massive compared to other adtech vendors but has not produced any innovative products or technology to speak off. Engineering head who has been around as a co-founder lacks skills to lead large engineering teams and execute well.

Company's reputation for execution and awareness in market is weak even after being around for 8 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a strong visionary leader who gets the big picture and not someone who wants to delve into tactical low level issues.
Create some buzz in the market, get better at fast execution and launch some cool features and products that sales can sell.
Engineering leadership was ok for startup but for a large company, a strong, confident leader is necessary who can deliver quality product fast.
