Lots of stretching opportunities, good variety of projects, big clients and large-scale transformations, excellent, global knowledge base, opportunities to work abroad, nice offices.

Internal promotes extremely poorly remunerated compared to external hires and compared to other Big 4 companies. Difficult to specialise in an industry if you are below Director grade as there are always pressures to work within your discipline area, irrespective of sector (e.g. operations, technology etc.). The basis for performance reviews seems vague and too heavily weighted away from day-to-day performance. Significant pressure to 'contribute' beyond your project work and revenue generation activities in order to attain high performance ratings, e.g. running internal networks, writing marketing material etc.

    Advice to Management

Recognise what clients are seeking and develop staff in that manner. Become more transparent about how employees are moderated and the fact that they have to do extra, non-project work if they want to get fast promotions and high grades. Pay internal promotes far better.
