In higher levels of management, you will be exposed to business challenges that will test you and teach you. The company is complex and dynamic (perhaps to a fault?), and you will learn more and experience more here than you will at most companies.
Officers and regimes seem to be on a 3 year cycle, challenging longevity for committed individuals in those ranks, creating uncertainty for the rest of the workforce, and hampering the "settling in" of a positive culture.

The company needs an identity, driven by a vision and a strategy, and then needs to realize it will take some time to grow it.
