I have been working at QSAC full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The director and the kids is the only thing that might keep you around. The benefits are also great.

    Cons

Terrible supervisors, poor pay, they will take the teachers side over the TA, turn over rate is insane, teaching assistants last about a month and teachers 6 months. The work environment is extremely poor and you need good teamwork to deal with these tough kids. A lot of gossip and made up things as soon as you walk through that door. Extremely unprofessional environment. The supervisors think people resign because of the kids but it's because of them. Trust nobody because as soon as you say something they will run and tell the person even start fake rumors she said he said. No room for growth and to develop. The kids are very aggressive they will attack you to take your life away and the only thing you can do is hold his or her hands you can't touch them but they can rip your head off. Most teachers are lazy and just babysit and put fake information like they did work. Only a few do their job the others just let them on the Ipad or whatever their reinforcer is because the kid might get unhappy and attack them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All the supervisors need to leave and hopefully the new ones are nicer happier people that love and enjoy their jobs. The Director is amazing and hope one day they will have supervisors like him.
