I have been working at Quintiles full-time (More than 8 years)
I started at Q in 2004 as a CRA. Through Q I have had an amazing career and met amazing people. Q has had a huge impact on my life, and I'm grateful for every experience, good, bad or neutral, that I've had here.
As other reviews have indicated, this is not the same company it was even 4 years ago. I suspect it is the influence of our current CEO; this was Q, a place where at the heart of it employees cared about the *patients*... now we care about our metrics. We cared about projects and Sponsors - now, I'm not sure I would hire Quintiles were I a Sponsor. Honestly, I'm embarrassed by our performance as a company these days. On a separate note, I'm on my 5th Line Manager in 3 years. One thinks of Rhett Butler's parting words from Gone with the Wind as you watch the LM's fleeing for the hills.
Advice to Management
It is obvious that there is a disconnect between upper management and the people on the ground as evidenced by such a person I'm working with who is "astounded" that the initiatives put into place (which also have caused a lot of outsourcing to India) are NOT WORKING. Not everything put to paper works in reality. Not sure what else to suggest as nothing has been done to stop the hemorrhaging of talent leaving Q.
