I worked at Qwest full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Qwest has good benefits and bonus. direct manager was great to work for. I did not feel micro-managed and had plenty of opportunities to come up with creative solutions.

    Cons

sales engineers come up with poor system designs without consulting the real engineers. Quality of the HR team is hit or miss, sometimes great, other times they mess up the most simple things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be more technical people involved in proposals. The engineers that will get stuck deploying and supporting a solution should have a say in the initial design that is provided to potential customers.
