I worked at RadioShack full-time (More than a year)
The pay and position were well above what I was used to. I was excited because I did my job very well and I was easily transfered to another state when I needed to be. The benefits were great and others on your level are very friendly in their competitive attitudes.
The hours were unrealistic. There was a constant three months where I worked daily from opening to close. I was "let go" so I won't lie about being heavily biased. I was working in a vendor subsidiary within a host store. The host store employed a physically disabled young man who continuously harassed me, sexually. I met with our host stores management who met with said boy. The boy came out and complained about it to me before gloating that all he needed to do was threaten a lawsuit and they backed down. This situation continued for another month or so and then I was told I was to be let go. They fought my unemployment claim and lost when they refused to explain why I was not eligible for it in their point of view or rather, why they just didn't want to pay up.
Advice to Management
You could do better. It's been a few years, but things could be done differently in such a way that profits will rise as well as employee morale.
