I have been working at Rain For Rent (More than 3 years)
Start pay seemed reasonable, benefits are pretty good. Great pay when sent to another branch.
You are expected to do all the dirty work that no other company will do for such a low rate, even though the corporate sector keeps most of what the customer is charged for services. Workers who work the hardest rarely are recognized or rewarded for their hard work. Pay raises are a joke, because they seem to be given only to the drinking buddies or brown nosers. Moral is low, because workers feel unappreciated and underpaid. The difference between the salesperson's pay and the actual people who do the hard work, is ridiculous. A sales person or management easily makes 6 figures and hard workers barely make $50k.
Advice to Management
Stop wasting money on things like golf tournaments and promotional items for already existing customers and give out good raises and real bonuses to the workers. Safety bonus should be aware to people as an individual who doesn't get hurt and has caused no damage to equipment, and has helped in prevention of the same. It should not be based on the entire company, where you lose your bonus based on an incident that happened on the other side of the continent. CEO and upper management have no idea how to live on the income and work schedule of the workers, even though John Lake's address to the workers seems to be like he cares about everybody. It seemed as if every time he visited our branch, it was the same people who got sent away, and only a handful of people ever got to speak with him. He needs to go in as an undercover boss, like on the tv program, to find the real problem people.
