    I worked at Rapid7 full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Nice facilities, ample social activities, downtown location, lots of training for new recruits. I saw people here who clearly loved their jobs and were doing very well for themselves. But they all appeared to be the same very specific type of person -- aggressive, boisterous, kind of sneaky frat guys (and girls, I guess). The environment is exactly what you'd expect: club music blasting all day long, lots of uninventive nicknames, etc.

    Cons

    Very long hours (7am to at least 6pm -- and your overtime is counted in your base salary), low starting salary (chance to get raises, but it's tough to do so in the beginning when you're still adapting to the system), very homogeneous environment, tricky sales tactics (getting through to an exec by telling the secretary that you're her son, for example).

    Advice to Management

    Turn down the music on the sales floor. Customers can hear it through the phone and are incredulous about the professionalism of the company. Be more up-front about the sales process and what it actually requires to get a raise during the interview; the reason you blow through so many sales reps is because the impression you give during the interview is nothing like what actually happens on the floor.
