    I worked at Rapid7 full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    1. Time off policy.
    2. There are some really talented people that work at R7 who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise with you.
    3. Nice modern office spaces in easily accesible locations.

    Cons

    I have to agree with previous posters on the lack of professionalism at Rapid7 which was one of the deicing factors on my departure.
    Management/ Executives do play favorites and it is very blatant who is "in" and who is "out" Often during my time there I would see employees who had excellent work ethic, professionalism and who always "got the job done” overlooked due to them not being overly flamboyant or what I would call juvenile in social situations or in their dealings with other co-workers.
     It is not whether you did the work you are there for or if you go above and beyond, rather, if you show off and also prove you can “hang”
    Again, I do agree with the confidentiality comment from previous posters. It is a big problem and office gossip runs rampant and it IS detrimental to culture and employee happiness. However, this problem continues to grow due to the very people promoting the company culture partaking and praising/ rewarding bad behavior with complete ignorance and denial to the situation and negative culture they are creating.
    Finally, I would advise anyone who is thinking about joining R7 to make sure it really is a culture fit for them as well as a place where they see potential for growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Acknowledge employees who go above and beyond in their position. End all executive/ management gossip on employees whether it be personal lives or work related it is not professional. Do not reward or ignore bad behavior it sets examples for the entire company. Do not be in denial over the actual culture of the company versus what the "hopes" for culture are- Lead by example. Value all employees whether they are front desk or sales team.
