You get free tickets and discounted concession items. The schedule is flexible and open to requests. The work environment is casual and the employee communities are healthy and strong.
The hours are long and really late. The schedule, while flexible, is also really inconsistent. Corporate changes happen frequently and usually not for the better.
Advice to Management
It really seems like upper management don't really care what goes on in the individual theaters. It feels like the perks and fun parts of the job are constantly being squeezed out and the changes never feel like they make sense. Things that would really help the theatre aren't done and things that aren't beneficial seem to be added all the time. On the positive side the opportunity to move up in the company is very rewarding and the perks that are currently in place are quite good. From the theaters I've visited strong communities are formed between employees and managers which is excellent for a healthy work environment. As a whole I really I do enjoy my job but a lot of higher up decisions often confuse me and seem to affect me negatively.
