This is a dishonest company that does not value its students or its employees.

    I worked at Remington College

    Pros

There are opportunities to be of service to the students, who for the most part come from underprivileged backgrounds, have very poor elementary and high school educations and have no idea what it means to have a work ethic.

    Cons

From the corporate representatives in management down to the individual campus leadership, the only objective is to enroll students whether or not they are capable of completing their program, collect their money from grants and loans, graduate them whether or not they earned it, and place them in a job whether or not they are capable of performing well and holding their job...as long as they are employed for 2 full days, the accrediting body accepts the job placement and adds it to the statistics necessary for the college to keep each program. Employees in the Career Services Department are told to lie to students to make them think that they are being helped with job placement, only to have the lies documented, so the college can plead with the accrediting body to let keep their programs. Compensation is low...raises are almost non-existent...turnover is very high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire competent Instructors; enroll competent students; be honest in the way you do business; and realize that your employees and your students have value, after all, without them, you would be out of business..
