I worked at Renaissance Hotels full-time (more than 3 years)

Generally, they provided good opportunities for growth and skill-building, They also provided good benefits, and have flexible scheduling . They're good about promoting from within the company, and allowing people to train and work in other properties.

Your work schedule is highly dependent on the kind of hotel you work for, especially if you're hourly. This may mean you'll have to work every holiday, even after you have seniority, or that you won't have any work because skeletal crews only need a handful of people. The leadership and work environment is highly variable from property to property.
