I worked at Ross Stores part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Schedule is very flexible and this is a great part-time job for students. Discount is good if you shop there and colleagues are friendly and work as a team in most cases.

    Cons

Little pay for the amount of work that you do if on sales floor. Almost zero chances of full-time employment. No medical benefits for part time employees. Store hours are ridiculous in comparison to similar stores. Hard to advance if you're not a favorite.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employees on the sales floor are overworked for little pay. At least make it to where there are people just for a specific area and then rotate them weekly. Inform employees about their options to grow in the company. Close the stores once a year to have a company sponsored family fun day for team building.
