    I worked at Ross Stores part-time (less than an year)


    20% Discount. Very easy to get hired, customer service experience. Dealing with difficult customers has taught me to have a great deal of patience.


    I only got 25 hours per week TOPS here, and sometimes I had hours cut short due to lack of payroll. I was expected to constantly be running around getting things done, busting my butt to satisfy both customers and management all at once, for minimum wage. I would be stuck on customer service a lot, I was frequently cussed out by customers due to store policies they weren't aware of. Management expected me not to ask them for help when I had a difficult customer, and deal with everything on my own. Asking to take my break, even when it was past time for it, would result in obvious annoyance from management. The managers were frequently just either sitting in the office or walking around the store talking on their phones. Loss Prevention employees mostly just stood in one spot gossiping. All 3 times I tried to call in sick, I was told I had to come in anyways. Working here was an upsetting experience for me, to say the least and I would dread coming into work every day.
