    I have been working at Rotech Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)


    There really are no pros for this company. Below standard pay, PTO is same as anywhere else, flextime allowed at 3 hours per week.


    Scheduling PTO is near impossible & PTO expires on Jan 1 with only 40 hr roll over. Meaning you get only a day here or there off no real vacation. You get attendance points & yes you get pointed even if the leave in an ambulance. Customer service is nonexistent, you have 5 mins to answer phone, place order, check for HIA billing errors, check to make sure your sending correct supplies & lord help you if you have do a return, billing adjustment, insurance update, send exchange item because management is all up on you for taking longer because you haven't taken another within those 5 mins. Training is 2 - 5 days your lucky if you more than 2, because they want to on the floor. Have questions you get told to email team lead, they may response in a week or so. Need an answer sooner & get catch asking a fellow coworker, then the team leads are on you telling you not to other people. Departments are never given policy changes, so are kept secret better than CIA holds top secret documents! Well at least till you don't follow them then they make sure you know it. Don't think you know your job because it changes daily. They have restructured under STORM & its no better. Why is your billing adjustment 4 months after the fact, because that department is answering calls all day per management direction then they get in trouble for not getting adjustments done. Its that way in every department. They are making excuses or creating situation to fire people.

    Advice to Management

    Its time to clean house! Starting at the top. If you going to restructure then do it in a fashion that makes sense. Simplify your order protocol, there is no reason why an order that gets placed by pt goes to insurance depart for changes which take 2 -3 weeks just to be sent to the op732 ques for 1-2 weeks just to sent to 1 of 4 sop ques just to take another 2-4 weeks. And all this time no one is allowed to call the patient, instead we have to wait for them to call & by that time they are highly highly upset! Then you have created all these follow up ques which NO ONE checks up on! Orders get shuffled from department to department. If STORM wants to restructure then let them sit with employees for a few days not 15 minutes, they need to understand what it is we do!! Oh & you may want to think about raises meaning more than just getting employees wages up to more than a new hires wages & just because the state has increased minimum wage doesn't means you should try & disguise that as a pay increase its a payroll adjustment not a raise!!!
