    I have been working at Rubicon Project full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The Perks...that's about it. location is good too.

    Cons

    Salary, Bonus, Stock? It's a joke. Go elsewhere. If you have any specialized skill, more specifically in engineering... and worried about compensation - go elsewhere. Plenty of companies will actually pay you what you're worth. If you're a Front End developer, they really don't know what to pay you. Any experience with UI/UX? yeah right...

    Let's talk about the equity piece. Well, you're given a small negligible piece of equity... unless you're an SVP, then you get a ton of shares...and they hired a ton of SVPs who did what exactly? Also, then one month before the company goes IPO (this is public knowledge you can google), the company exercises a reverse stock split. NOT like what google did where they split their shares then at least doubled everyone equity... Rubicon Project investors/board decided to cut everyone's options in half, then double the amount they had to pay for their options... so a 4x negative for the common folk. who benefits? the investors... who gets screwed? the employees... yeah, they really invest into their employees alright.

    Let's see. it also takes more than 2 years to get a raise, and it's a small bump. I found a job elsewhere and immediately got a 30% raise.
