I worked at Russell Cellular full-time (More than a year)

Good entry level position for sales Good benefits early on in your tenure

Poor pay structure (WSR'S are capped at $10 unless you move up in management) and the company trends to hire outside the company for open management positions Poor leadership choices from the company (my current manager has been here for about 3 months and I still have to tell her how to do basic store functions, and I was able to do these functions by myself for the 2 months we did not have a manager in the store) Management at the store level have little power to do anything to solve customer service related problems Company feels they need to give the same level of coaching to employees that regularly hit and exceed their goals as with the the employees who don't hit their goals Management is not very approachable with problems or concerns, and you get the feeling they don't really care all that much about how you feel. No cameras and very little security in the buildings (although I hear this is changing soon)

    Advice to Management

The main concern for me is treating your employees who are successful like amateurs and expecting them to go through the same level of training that new hires go through each month. Also if you want your employees to stay longer than the average 6 months which is what this company's turn over rate is (my DSM'S words not mine) than stop hiring managers off the street who can't do the job right off the bat, and raise the cap for pay to something more reasonable. This will give your company more stability and will allow your employees to have more possibility for a future and advancement with in. Obviously I'm not working for this company any more bit hopefully the company cares enough about their employees to hear from one who was previously employed.
