I worked at SAIC full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good benefits and lots of opportunities to expand your skill set.

    Cons

Working and knowing the local HQ folks in DC was a big benefit but if you were away from center stage it was hard to position yourself for advancement as the smaller office was overrun by nepotism. Family members, high school friends and long time buddies got the bigger benefits if you were an outsider and not from the local area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Break up the small town mentality, good ol boy system and allow for new insights and new blood to enter into management and minimize the group think process.
