    I worked at SAIF full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Excellent benefits. Great hours. Great co workers. Good work life balance. Constant training.

    Cons

    The upper management does what they want, despite facts. Their internal investigations process needs to be reworked. New ideas are not welcome. A lot of workers are afraid to think outside the box because management doesn't like that kind of thinking. As long as you do what you are told and do not question anything, you'll do fine. I wouldn't go back, but it wasn't all bad. I'm just not good at being cattle driven.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Accept input. Hire an outside source for internal investigations. Follow the script on your wall...treat Oregonians fairly and with respect, especially if they work for you. Stop giving lip service and start utilizing your employees and their strengths. Eliminate management by fear.
