    Smart, hopeful people with great intentions and vision. Very strong SME knowledge in Seattle-based technology companies spanning nearly two decades.


    One of the main Board of Directors and founders is a complete lunatic, changing the course of the ship and entire company midstream on a whim, just because... Nobody can stand up to him. Shifting gears from purely tech-focused to also including creative, strategy and marketing was an extremely painful process that never lasted. An account director was brought in and made partner, who knew nothing about the agency side of the business but was given way too much control, completely tanking 40% of the business in the process leading to tons of attrition lasting more than a year. Two CTOs were running side-by-side during a merger, with a lot of tension and confusion felt by everyone that was never cleanly sorted out. There was a lot of fear with the fact that they couldn't pay their office lease at the HQ for more than a year, and what that meant in the long run.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Go with proven industry veterans in agencies when looking for leadership, rather than employees from the client side who know nothing about our business. Don't let a big gun push you and the company around just because they have deep pockets. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket, again and again and again.
