Interim CEO really rubbed me the wrong way.

    Pros

Great industry you can feel good about being a part of. Competitive compensation.

    Cons

The culture left something to be desired, but could well have improved since my tenure there, under new management. I was there while an interim CEO was taking over from the previous head of the company, but before the current leader. When I look up the company now, I do not see this person in the management team, so it may not be relevant.

This guy would use the F word in meetings and when someone in the changeover meeting asked what the management's plans were in increasing accountability "both from the top down, and from the bottom up" he explained that he was not afraid to hold employees accountable, just ask [name of recently fired employee], completely ignoring the part about management being accountable to employees as well. This was a very uncomfortable environment for a while and I moved on, so I can't say what happened next. I doubt very much this continued for long, and I may just be overly sensitive. I feel like cussing creates an unprofessional environment, at least in the way this was done, while others may feel that it makes things more casual and friendly. Most likely he was behaving that way because he was youngish and insecure, being a temporary leader, and better days have come to SPG.
