I have been working at SRP part-time (more than an year)

SRP pays interns well, and they're generally very flexible (depending on your manager). They take lots of interns from ASU. You will also earn tuition reimbursement after 6 months which is very valuable. It was my first technical job and a good introduction to IT.

There's a lot of bureaucracy and many hoops to jump through. The software development work is just internal enterprise applications, which aren't new, exciting, or innovative. The work is rather bland. I was sometimes not impressed by the caliber of other employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Especially in IT, upper management needs to react more quickly to industry trends. SRP's IT department is probably 5 years behind the industry.
