I worked at SUNY Albany full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

the atmospheric science department offers for scholarship and a salary to students pursuing a masters or PHD degree.
laid back friendly environment. a community where many will hang out together outside of the office.
the work schedule is whatever you want it to be.
ample opportunity to collaborate and share research both within the department and at conferences.
    growing department.

    Cons

the department is growing and space is becoming limited in the building.
The building is dated, and the rest of the university as a whole is mediocre.
