    I have been working at Safe Streets USA full-time (more than 3 years)


    Work straight from home to customers locations, no need to report to an office everyday, meet lots of great customers, very rewarding work when you help a family feel secure in their home.


    Management makes short sighted decisions, slowly removing pay and benefits to employees, lots of driving with little to no compensation for mileage, company has no problems with omission of truth to customers (think used car salesman).The company is willing to give away employees commissions to earn the business of its customers. They use outside sales companies that use poor sales tactics, sometimes borderline immoral, to earn business, as well as remove any possibility of earning sales commissions by giving away equipment you are expected to sell.

    Managers work in other states with no knowledge of the areas you are working. Management will single out technicians by giving them poor jobs in low income areas or by sending them to unconfirmed jobs or jobs that would otherwise be considered a low opportunity to sell, if their upsell average is not up to par.

    You are expected to be on call 6 days a week and available for a job within 3 hours notice, schedule changes up to 9pm the night prior, very difficult to manage a personal life with this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your technicians, they are the employees that drive your business. Make job scheduling fair for all technicians regardless of their location or their upsell status. Hire managers who reside in the areas that their technicians are working in. Create and start enforcing standards for the sales companies you work with to earn business. Stop taking away potential for earning commission by giving discounts that take from employees and not from the company.
