I worked at SafeNet full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

from 2004-2008: They mostly left me alone to do my work. Salaries were low compared to competition. Decent benefits early on: profit sharing, stock options. The most senior marketing people were very nice.

    Cons

Office politics. Very cliquish. Very High School. If you weren't part of the "cool people" group, you were nothing. Mostly dead end jobs. No way to move around vertically or horizontally. Only the sales people had good futures in the company. Lower tier managers were bullies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Things have changed since I left so can't give much advice. Just focus more on your employees' needs.
