Cart hour, breaks, getting to know some regular customers.
Everything else. Entry-level gets the same minimum wage no matter who you are it seems. Managers play favorites, Courtesy Clerks basically do everything in the store at the same time, and co-workers try to manipulate and lie to get ahead. It doesn't work really lol but it's annoying dealing with co-workers like that.
Courtesy Clerks are depended on to do everything around the store from cleaning to bagging to customer service/running to get items. All for only minimum wage. And sometimes the workers who request say thank you. Other times they don't, as if they expect you to be their runner. Not much appreciation is shown. Plus, checkers and managers have authority to call you away to do a second task EVEN IF you are in the middle of bagging an order. That practice seems absurd to me.
I'm currently going through some issues that I hope get worked out soon because if not, I will take my concerns as high as I can go even to the CEO. My voice WILL be heard. There's been a lot of unfair happenings at my location.
Advice to Management
Stop playing favorites, and show your employees some respect. Being disrespectful and talking down to employees is not professional.
