I have been working at Salt Lake County, UT full-time (more than an year)

The people are great to work with. Management seems to care about their employees and they work hard to create a comfortable environment. My position has a lot of autonomy which is wonderful, and I feel respected at all levels. The positions here all seem to be very secure. The compensation is "fair", but could be better. Decent benefits.

Lack of growth and compensation package. It's possible to move up, but it takes a very long time (many years), and moving up doesn't give you a large salary increase. Some people have been here over 10 years and don't have a salary much more than their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Evaluate salary more often. Leadership and management should not make over 35-40% over the average employee's salary. This is why the economy is in a difficult place, because leadership in organizations are compensating themselves 100% over the employee's salary and not giving fair wage increases to the workforce. Low salary increases turn-over, which ends up costing the organization more in the long run.

    Neutral Outlook
