If in the right position at a Headquarters, it can be quite fulfilling. But layoff/transfers can come with no notice.

I have been working at Salvation Army full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The feeling of giving back in some way, friendly co-workers.

    Cons

Years with no raise, or minimal 2%. Heavy workload (doing the work of 2). HR Dept doesn't feel like it exists after hired, as their not approachable or very communicating. Medical benefits package isn't very good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care to support employees health and wellness, they'll serve you better in the end. Pay employees what the industry shows comparable for those positions or you'll keep losing good, hard working, dedicated, knowledgeable people.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
