I worked at Salvation Army part-time for more than 3 years

It's a Christian church organization that does some social service work, so most of the time you are helping people who need it, so that is rewarding.
Vacation days and sick days if you use them they are nice to have .

Minimum pay scale, no raises in 3 years for anyone. No unemployment insurance. You are working with and around ,homeless, alcoholic/ drug addicted, unemployed, and desperate people. While it can be rewarding, it can also have some seriously scary times.
Most are grateful for help, others who you can't help due to lack of funds or they don't qualify are not happy campers and will let you know it .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know you are not required to pay into unemployment because you are a church ,but it would seem the Christian thing to do is to not let the people you let go end up being the people you see needing help with rent and food.
If your objective is to help people don't be the one causing more of the problem.
