I worked at SanMar full-time (more than 5 years)Pros
Most of the people are very friendly and easy to get along with. If you are good at the job, you can move up in pay quickly from where you start.Cons
Only about half of the people take pride in their work which is something I value in a workplace.
the cap pay seems to decrease over the years instead of increase with cost of living.
The wrong people get all the promotions. While the talkers and new hires seem to move up, the hard workers seem to get stuck at their current job position.Advice to ManagementAdvice
a little gut feeling when making decisions would not hurt, you cannot base everything off of numbers. Underline the "little" part. if somebody is a terrible employee and you know it, but you do not have the numbers to terminate them, so what? if somebody is a great employee but has an occasional error, it should not disqualify them for every new job opportunity.Doesn't RecommendPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
