Okay if you like shady managers, unorganization and working about 5 job descriptions in one job.

I have been working at Save-A-Lot Food Stores full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Pros are you have a job and there are some nice people. Also the experience you get with some nice customers.

    Cons

No benefits, get paid bi weekly, people in management positions that absolutely DO NOT deserve them nor have the people skills. Security watches you like you're a theif instead of focusing on the customers. So many peoples draws are always coming up short it's almost as if you're set up to fail. I introduced myself to one of the managers when I came in and he's had an attitude since like do you not really need employees or what? I've gone through so much in this short month I've been working here it's ridiculous and I'm so ready to go. For a business with no benefits nor employee discounts you would think the employees get treated better. I'm about coming to work and getting my work done so if you're not one to hang with the crowd and gossip etc. You're pretty much looked down on. I would NEVER ever work for this company again but this is the save a lot merged with murrys I not sure about plain save a lots. I am so disgusted with this place. Rat infested, ratchet infested, attitude infested and draining. You have to ring as well as bow down(pull items to the front that are getting low to make it look full) keep the sure neat, keep shopping carts from the front of the store, put out produce, candy etc. At the end of the night sweep, mop, bring in carts, clean tables, and registers, stock the floors and put out the bread.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat you're employees better and realize we are here to help.
