I worked at Seagrave Fire Apparatus as an intern (Less than a year)
There was a great deal of opportunity to learn and experience manufacturing environments. The pay is competitive and the engineering department is talented.
Sometimes management and the union do not agree and negotiations run long. These negotiations interfere with the company's overall productivity.
Advice to Management
I would recommend finding a new union rep. Perhaps get rid if unions completely if possible. This likely is not, so more care should be taken to appease them.
