I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (more than 3 years)

Leader in the industry, impressive history. Good facilities and supportive co workers. Good market presence. Management that tries to expand the business, but Diversey acquistion was done poorly.

Lacking training. Software like Business Warehouse (BW) rushed out into field. Bosses that postpone meetings and are disorganized. Promotions of the wrong individuals. Last minute changes and rush jobs. Called to do new reports and not given the chance to work on annual goals. Month end financial close changed from a four business day process to a two day process and told that we will be given the chance to work on projects during the month. Guess what? Management changes and the prior agreement is forgotten.
Rush to complete reports and given only vlookup to complete task, not enough time do business analysis work and only end being a spreadsheet hack.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give employees in outside plants a chance to defend themselves against bad reviews that are not properly documented and done after business hours like a Friday night at 7:30 pm. Human resources (People and Performance) must be more proactive with employees.

Never allow bad reviews to occur without giving an employee a chance to explain themselve and have a better understanding of the review process.

Dump Success Factors becasue it has never been a factor in anyone's success.
