    I worked at Sears part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Made a decent wage. You can pretty much make your own schedule. Management was pretty laid back and they let you do what you need to do to make your sales with little interference.

    Cons

    Working as an electronics salesperson with other salespersons can often lead to a shark "feeding frenzy" where employees step over each other just to get a sale. They should raise the base pay or offer higher more competitive commission compensations. They would cut your hours drastically if your sales were low or if you asked for a day off. It made it very hard to be able to obtain extra hours to be able to make any bigger sales. Technologies available to employees were either outdated or ahead of their time with lots of overlapping which led to confusion between both the employees and customers not to mention it was terribly inefficient.
