    I worked at Sears

The overwhelming majority of people at the store level are competent at their jobs. There's a turkey here or there, but overall, store and department level management does a good job balancing the customer's needs with those of associates. Great job for somebody needing a paycheck. Can not recommend for somebody needing a career.

Pay is not great. It seems as if corporate has no idea how to keep the company from leaking money. Sears doesn't know what it wants to be, and therefore customers have no reason to walk in the door, save for Craftsman and Kenmore.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Drop the cheap soft lines. Craftsman and Kenmore are known for quality. Knockoff clothing for 10 bucks only hurts the store, and takes valuable floor space away.
