    I have been working at Sears


    The pay is good if you perform.
    The other associates make this my favorite job I've ever had.
    Good hours.
    Recognition for going above and beyond.
    They will make you full time, but you will have to prove yourself first.


    There is alot of negativity from upper management if things are bad. It's trickle down fear, really. Outside of that, the problem that will make Lowes pass Sears as number one, if not changed, is onesource and customer solutions. Eliminate them and start over. That's the only option as there is no fixing these two divisions. When you start over Sears, hire people (Americans with English as their primary language) that know what they are talking about. People who understand what the problem being presented means, and not just how to navigate an archaic computer system. You'll have to pay them more, but trust me, it will save you alot of money. And stop threatening to fire your employees. That does not motivate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Tell the higher ups that onesource needs to go away. Present to them the literally hundreds of examples a year that you DO have as cases in point. Stop threatening to fire your employees all the time. If somebody is not going the extra mile, that isn't going to inspire them. Listen to your employees. They are not as expendable as you think they are. If someone has lasted a year in straight commission sales, they are actually fairly hard to replace, unless they are total screwups.
