    I worked at Sears

    Pros

i loved the fact that managers and supervisors give you all the tools to sell, they give you monthly training, keep you updated with your net sales and goals, have one on one meetings to find out what you need help on to improve your selling habits. they honestly do help you to
make more money because if you make more money then they will make more money. and the good thing about being on comission is that you can make your paychecks as big as you can!

    Cons

having to answer the phone and take care of other customers issues: like calling the delivery team to fix a problem they did, the service and repair team, or even the credit team; and some of them aren't very helpful, they just tell you that they cant help you or that you have to call another number. and this takes up a lot of our time, especially since we are sales associates who are only getting paid on a comission basis and not hourly, i didnt think it was fair that we had to spend sometimes hours helping customers on issues over the phone. it might be fair for other departments because they get at least 4 or 6/hr but home appliances is PURE comission. and lately they've been pushing their associates to get customer feedback surveys, and forcing everyone to sign up for the sears shop your way rewards card (they even told us to do it without the customers consent).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

i really dont know what advice to give for the leaders because i am not aware of what their bosses are pushing them to do, just like any other company someone has a reason for pushing their associates a certain way .
