Great company to work for initially

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Sears Optical full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, great schedule and flexible.

    Cons

The company is importing a bunch of people from Limited Brands and Brown Shoes and exporting all the people who built the Luxottica culture. I am unsure how that will help the customer see and look their best.

    Advice to Management

You are losing the foundation and the culture of the organization. You cannot apply the retail theory (transactional based) to optical theory (knowledge, EXPERIENCE and service based). Being able to put away frames, look fashion forward, and cashiering is not the same as helping customer with their eyecare needs. Your customers come their for expertise but no one who works on your retail floor barely has any. If this company continues to cut corners on training and get rid of their experienced people you might as well be a online based. You are RUINING your heritage.
